Hi hellraizer619, maybe this is not exactly the right board to answer your question, especially with almost no further info than you've given about your problem so far (no offence meant, but the approbriate answer to a question like yours would sound like: "Have you tried to switch on your comp...

My recommendation is Ulead GIF Animator 5. I scaled down my avatar with it. You can use the free trial version of it for 15 days. Click here to go to Download.com in order to download it from their site.

Agreed on Microsofts 'Help' pages. They're only useful if you don't need em. :P There seems to be a bunch of reasons, why your media player behaves like this. Looking at it from the codec angle seems to be the no. 1 choice here. What troubles me is the fact that your system seems to reject the insta...

No, haven't run into a message like that yet - fortunately. But Fotki has gotten awfully slow after reaching the 4 GB upload border in my case. So I guess, it's just their hardware not being able to cope. :x They oughta do something about it, but reading through their blogs lots of other users have ...

Could you be a bit more specific? What kind of files (avi, mpeg, mpg, xvid, vfw, asf, wmv, DivX)? Is there any error message? What does it say? What does Media Player do when it 'doesn't do what it's supposed to'? Which version are you using? (Classic, 9.x, 10.x) Have you tried the latest video code...

Does anyone understand how Ultrashare's "free" mode works? .... I can't really read the German, but I think it says you are allowed 50 megs an hour, ... Pay attention to the little American/English flag sign at the upper right corner at http://www.ultrashare.de/. Clicking on it gives you ...

| For a "real" anonymous upload of videos to their services I suggest the use of Anonymouse.org . Anonymouse works much like an anonymous proxy server hiding your real ip adress and making the video origin untracable (important if you care about possible copyrigt implications of your uploads! ;) ). | There are no legal ways through U.S. sites to get free mp3's of copyrighted material. I presume that's what your looking for and not Steve's garage band's newest single fresh from the home studio. Even with software you pay for dowloading copyrighted material is illegal...period. I don't know where... |

Zip is fine but takes too long, especially if you plan to transfer a lot of files. Besides, it won't do a lot of good anyways, because jpg files are likely to be compressed already anyhow (other file formats don't make any sense for posting), thus making any further compression obsolete. Best would ...
