I was doing a little snooping and I came across a few of the models myspace pages and I tell you what those hotties sure know how to party! some of their pages were private but a couple were not

I wont be surprised if the ones that are public will be going private now that you posted their pages on here

Out of curiosity, why not?

For starters, the public ones are public. I ahve been a myspace friend of atonia pettiford forever and a day it seems.

And secondly, what did that guy do that none of the rest of us with a bunch of time on our hands couldnt find out anyway? Nothing anyone could do through a myspace friend request (that doesnt have to even be accepted) could be anymore embarrassing than some of the silly manure I see for responses to some of the caps and vids in here.

Not trying to start trouble; just curious to see the responses.

Well, I'm sorry that I caused such an uproar that was certainly not my intention. I just assumed for the ones who didn't know that they might be curious.

the ones that are private used to be public profiles and ill give you one guess why they are now private

100% agree with GZF on this one. Especially with the private ones. They are private for a reason, they dont want to be bothered.

Then my suggestion to them is for them all to set their myspace accounts to private and only accept friend requests from people they know.

I know people of great exposure in other lines of business that I do work for; most of them have two myspace pages: one for fans and one for family/friends. And they let a fan that they trust screen the fan site.

Im not saying they should be harassed, because I would never ever support that type of behavior. But they are on television, and should expect that somebody out there (male or female) may want to learn more about them and possibly email them. Its just good sense to put the profile on private.

I agree with dajerx. Just set it to private. Very simple. Of course I don't condone those girls or anyone getting harrassed either but once you are a celebrity or in the public eye you are fair game so expect the occasional nutjob to notice you. Especially if you are half-naked on national TV often. If those girls want to be that private or secretive, don't be model or have a MySpace page.
Once again it's real simple to make it private. Besides how do we even know those are the real models and not imposters? I was just reading a story online someplace about fake MySpace pages.

them going private wont stop them from getting emails or friend requests and being harrassed

they dont expect people to be posting their myspace pages all over the internet either

They have a MYSPACE page because it's a social site, that is the purpose to be SOCIAL.
They want to meet new people or they would have it set to private and only give thier page out to friends and relatives.

I have a page and only certain people know about it.

I have to agree with Stunman's assessment. If they didn't want to be public, then why even have the page.

If a model doesn't take the proper precautions to protect herself, what does us (WWoW) deleting the links do in the long run? Nothing! There will be pervs who are not members of this forum who will still see those myspace (et. al.) sites. What this post, I really hopefully do, is to educate the models on the world of the internet. An innocent site can explode into fanatacism and worse.

Complain as you may, but the links stay.

Perhaps, but you cannot assume that. Maybe they have it to keep in contact with close friends.

Now that's just a silly attitude. Why get bent out of shape defending people you don't even know? Are you their publicist?
The private profiles, nobody can view them anyway unless the person with the page allows the viewer as a friend. So they control who sees it. It's not like anyone posted the cellphone numbers of famous celebrities. Now that would be something that would actually impact some of these celebs/models. This is just internet myspace nonsense.
The only people who would be able to access these private profiles, are people the person already knows! So, then what is the point of having a page to show what "you're all about" to the people that know all about you???? All day long, the kids at my rink go on these sites and waste time instead of doing work and the only thing they do is check out the profiles of the people they already know. Our rink has one, and I made one for my store- to network and market my store and product, because these same kids are the ones who shop at my store.
This is an asinine argument to be having, especially when not a one of us owns or runs one of the pages in question. If they didn't want them to be discovered, then don't put it on the web. It's not like someone tripped across a backdoor top secret FBI access link and nuclear secrets are being revealed. It's a link, to a page, made by a person, and put on a social networking site that accounts for 10% of worldwide internet traffic. I would say they don't expect not to be found.

I'd rather watch my dog take a sh1t than worry about things on myspace.
