Dont know about other providers, but now with Comcast here you can order items from your remote. Check out the caps

Not too bad if you want to buy on the fly. I can just see me hitting the buy button for a VaVaVoom bra though :lol:

This also may be the reason for HSN being unencrypted now. If thats the case I say buy buy buy!

From what i found.HSN has been using it on a few select cable systems since 2006.And starting using it on Dish Network in 2007.QVC UK has been using it since 2001.This is what a Google search came up with.
