Well I found a good deal on a USB tuner. Unfortunately I only have Windows Movie Maker at the moment so quality may not be the best. Anyways here's my first contribution since coming back...Rhonda and Solange from Rhonda Show that I think many missed. I provided a You Tube link earlier. Anyways have at it guys...

I use Windows Movie Maker to make ALL of my videos I convert them from AVI which is what DScaler records in to WMV

27 mb is too big for 1:18 WMV Clip it should be less that 10 mb :Thumb

Less than ten, guess I need a program since I am converting a big mpeg file to wmv using windows movie maker. I used dvd quality setting. I thought anything less would make the vid look worse.

I would initially tend to agree with Cobra on this since I also use windows movie maker for my clips but now that I have seen the vid, I can understand the quality factor. The more quality the clip the bigger the wmv file.

I can see a difference in making clips between HSN and SNBC web streams. SNBC streams in a bigger window and thus the stream file is bigger than HSN for a 60 min show.

Don't worry! It takes time to perfect your clipping style and it doesn't hurt to try other programs like Virtual Dub as well. :Kool

Thanks as always for the info guys. This was actually recorded by me. I finally got a tuner for my new computer. Its USB but works pretty good. Going to try HD tomorrow.

I am now able to use my DVR to record and just use my computer and tuner to record and cap on my computer. Which means I dont have to worry about my computer not recording a program, just let my dvr do all the work.

Im still fine tuning, I have plenty left to post. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. :Kool
