HSN new Banner (D)

What ever it's called.It covers almost half of the bottom of the screen.I would suggest everyone go to the web site and e-mail them and complain.

I think they only use it for the morning show

Yeah its the morning shows. Doesnt need to be there at all I say. What I am curious about is what the banners will look like once HSN goes HD. I just hope they dont think, hey now we have more screen space because of the wider veiwing and decide to fill it up and us not have much screen to look at. They should be able to utilize the screen and have like a small protion of the left of the screen for the normal stuff, like now. And then maybe take down the part at the bottom or at least just go ahead and move it all the way to the bottom of the screen. If they do it right it could leave us with much more viewing, but this is also wishful thinking.

When HSN goes HD it probably will be like QVC HD is, 1/3 of the screen covered with an HDwing. :evil:

Only in certain areas as a test...I believe full launch is next month.

QVC has HD? I'm surprised that they're brave enough to want to show Joan Rivers in HD. That could scare some children and cause seizures...

QVC HD came to our area last week and honestly I was pretty disapointed. While the picture quality is sharper the banner down the side takes up way too much space. Proportionally I don't think they're showing any more then they were previously.

Someone had posted some caps and i did a comparison,there're showing less of the picture on the HD version then they're on the SD version.

Unless they start letter boxing the SD feed all the video will be formatted for 4:3.

It's like how most shows on FNC and FBN are HD but have a 4:3 video window with the HD Wing on the right side.
