The only thing I can read from it as of now, she feels she has to branch out as she is really a stereotype at FOX and probably has more talent than she has shown.

As she famously says: "We'll let the market decide..." and I'm sure the markets (TV/movies/etc.) will decide her fate on an acting career.

Me personally, I've never really picked up on anything from her other than being a good-looking woman, but I wish her well just the same.

you wouldn't think someone would give up a role on a show without having something better lined up.

To be honest, I never heard of her before she was a regular on Red Eye, so not sure how walking away from the best gig she ever had is a good move.

I hate to said that's stupid but it's stupid. She leaving Fox News which I'm guessing gave her a good paycheck (ok not as good as others but still) to pursue something that maybe she'll to a gig but uncertain plus going against younger actress for the same role. However I wish her the best and hope Fox News keeps the door open.

I see little risk, she's only 27, if it doesn't work out she can always come back.

I'm glad she's gone. Now when they have women guests they are more likely to actually get the leg chair and I have nothing against her other than that and to say I never saw anything from her interesting enough to make me wanna see her as an actress in something. Good luck to her though.

I say kudos to her for going after what she wants instead of being a slave to her paycheck. If it doesn't work out she can find another job back in the news/entertainment industry or somewhere else.

No one leaves Red Eye

That has to be one of the easiest jobs, you come in at around 8 PM & since you're not the host, there is no pressure on you

All you do is sit around for 1 hour BSing on differant topics then you go out to the bar & eat & go home

JoAnne had a FOX News Contributorship job that pays probably $100,000+

Like I said no one leaves that job! Her contract was not renewed so they had to make up a stupid excuse

If she was persuing an acting gig unless she is moving to LA, she could've done her thing then come in at 8 pm to do Red Eye & get paid

I knew this was coming on a few fronts. Red Eye's ratings have gone downhill since Joanne joined. Joanne started to not be on every show and only on certain days to purse acting. People at Activity Pit were expecting this for sometime. Bad timing with Bila, Andrea and Gretchen leaving.
