I'm sorry, but Matt should have taken some paternity leave so that Greg could then be a temporary replacement.
I am guessing that management made him expandable, or that him being a true family man counts way more after his wife gave birth.
It doesn't cut both ways, but that's the way I see it.

Lots of news to report.
WINK are suing Matt Devitt for breach of contract by setting up his weather company and trying to poach WINK staffers for it.
Oceana Hayden has moved from weekday morning traffic to weekend morning weather. The new traffic reporter is Mariaregina Mendoza.
Greg Rule left WINK to become Chief Meteorologist at WPBF West Palm Beach.
Liz Biro has also left WINK at the end of March, she is moving to a new market.
Fort Myers's local FOX station WFTX-TV was sold to Sun Broadcasting who also own WINK CW and has relaunched as FOX Florida. They have a shared services agreement with WINK who now produce news for Fox Florida, so some of their on-air reporters and meteorologists have moved across to WINK. I've already posted a couple of new names alongside the regulars.
WINK alumni Amanda Pappas was fired a few weeks ago from WPLG. She's still based in Miami doing occasional forecasts for her socials.

Victoria Quevedo who was one of the recent Fox 4 intake to join WINK when the channel was sold is the latest to leave.
