"We are so glad you started your week with us, and it is good to be home," wearing yellow to continue as the main color used on ribbons and flowers in Arizona and practically the entire country.

She look at co-anchor Craig Melvin, wearing a yellow tie and he lightly patted and held her hand in a very touching moment.

"Yes, it is good to have you at home."

Just like any other weekday, they turned to the morning's top headlines, including an opening segment about the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.

"Well, here we go, ready or not," Guthrie said. "Let's do the news."

In the 8:30 segment, while Al Roker, Carson Daly, and others head outside to Rockefeller Plaza--Savannah walks out with Jenna Bush Hager holding arms together. It was truly a special moment where I imagine some were crying happy tears (I did briefly while watching the segment from the NBC News website I linked above) were seen alongside the happy cheers from the crowd.

The banners for the most part were tasteful.

Some more articles also mentioned Al Roker back at the weather map mentioning some nice things (unlike on March 5 when photographs showed her off-air return in early March, which was not televised. Unlike on that day, Dylan Dreyer was not present.)

It's understandable that Savannah was absent from the show after this latest revelation.

With the debates continuing "about whether the masked man acted alone or if others were involved in the alleged kidnap scheme."

Was something going on away from the house that the public doesn't know? Even more bizarre, we are still awaiting the ruling of the Pima County Sheriff on whether or not he is going to keep his job. On top of that, FBI Director Kash Patel defended the people who are still in Arizona since they have been on the ground near and around Nancy's home since the early morning hours of January 31 turned February 1.

And didn't Patel say that the FBI was kept off of the case for the first 4 days of the investigation?

A woman who was kidnapped as a child in 2002, Elizabeth Smart spoke with Erin Burnett on Tuesday. She said that there is "a possibility" that Nancy Guthrie could still be alive.

Her interview on CNN provided quite a lot of thoughts on social media. But never say never, right--even though it has been over three months since her disappearance:

I was going through some old articles prior to the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, and came across an article from the old CNNMoney.com website.

In that article, it said that "(the) Popular Today co-anchor in announcing her second pregnancy on Tuesday has major concerns about (catching the) Zika virus."

NBC kept thousands of workers home and worked that Olympiad at both their main sports studios in Stamford, Connecticut as well as the back monitors at Studio 8H in New York--where the popular late night comedy series Saturday Night Live is filmed.

With the studio dark for the summer, it came in very handy as it turned out.
In a major sign of what was to come, you can safely call that time as a trial run for what would become a very common sight in 2020 and especially during the COVID delayed Tokyo Summer Olympics of 2021. The very common sight of seeing Mike Tirico explaining why there were only about 1/3 of the people housed at the International Broadcast Centre and the rest stayed home because of concerns catching the COVID-19 virus was a too common sight in both Japan and the United States.

Two separate circumstances nearly a decade apart--one good and one very bad. It goes to show us how fragile life truly is.
