Post subject:  Annette Funicello dies today
Annette Funicello died today from complications due to multiple sclerosis, a disease she had for about 25 years.

She was my first crush as a kid, as I'm sure she was for most of American boys at that time.

She wasn't just a hottie, she was THE girl at the time, and wholesome to boot. For me, she was a safe crush, living a couple of thousand miles away.

I would like some of the cappers and posters to pay a respectful tribute to her with some pictures of her beauty at the time. She touched the hearts and minds of millions of kids in a good way.

Thanks guys, and a tearful farewell to Sweet Annette.

Annette was 70 years old and hasn't been a Mouseketeer since 1959, on the original series,
long before Justin Timberlake or Britney were born.

If you mean did Annette ever appear on the revival Mickey Mouse Club that JT, Britney and Christina Aguilera were on,
the answer is yes --and no.

Annette and some other original Mouseketeers did reunite to guest star on a 1990 episode of the New MMC but
Timberlake, Spears,and Aguilera were not part of the cast then. They all joined in 1993.

If you really want to appreciate how pretty she was, see if you can rent a DVD with any or all of her beach movies with Frankie Avalon. Its all fluff but fun and classic 60's California hype. :Thumb
