Wow.

Interesting that, according to the article, she's taking time off before pursuing her next gig.....hopefully she finds a spot on one of the other cable news channels.

Guess she wasn't happy about being passed over for F&F after all
Most logical move for Fox is to expand Gretchen's show to two hours

Who wants to go to sleep at 8pm and wake up at 3am to host a show at 6am? :Crazy

She was probably getting tired of Fox cutting her off at the waste each time she's on screen.

Can't say I'm surprised. She wasn't all that secretive on her twitter stream about her thoughts on being passed over for the Fox and Friends position.

I hope she gets a gig she enjoys.

If you look at it that way, then she wouldn't have left the weekend job since it was just twice a week unless she was forced out of FFW. :jetserl

Based on history of other networks, she should have realized being on the weekend means nothing when it comes to promotions.

The thing is we don't know the whole story on the anchor changes.
Maybe it was not necessarily her choice to move to weekdays and she was playing nice by accepting the move.

Sharyl Attkisson also quit CBS today. Fox News might be her next location. Could she take over for Alisyn?

Im sure Sharyl Attkisson will be going to fox maybe just a correspondent on Bret Baier and Chris Wallace's show.
I wouldn't be surprised if they just go with rotating female anchors (Heathers, Julie, Jamie...) for a while but I wish Elizabeth Prann gets it.

Nope. Brooke Baldwin has it covered. Now she could replace Brooke at her old slot and thus go against whoever replaces her at Fox News.
And if that were to happen and Gretchen went to two hours. That would be the ultimate throw down. But I don't know why I think she could just as easily be part of a show on The Blaze where she and Laurie anchor the news of the day.

Someone who knows the kind of big bucks you're paid doing a morning show vs.
what you're paid for a mid-day gig.

You don't think that all these years, people on shows like Today or GMA do what they do
for the sensible sleep patterns, do you? :mrgreen:

I'm sure that had Fox gone with her instead of Elisabeth, she would've been more
than happy to make it fit her daily schedule.

Yeah, Fox is really bad about passing over people in house for some reason or another.

Fox is no different than any other network in that regard

Hiring Hasselbeck for F&F was a no-brainer, Camerota had to understand that.
