Diana just announced that tomorrow, May. 30, 2014 will be her last day. She will be leaving the network to focus on being a stay at home Mom. It will be interesting to see who will be the next person to take a seat at this show which has had so many musical chairs.....

I'd say that the leading candidate to take Diana's place would be Marci Gonzalez, who had previously been there during Diana's pregnancy. They could always bring back Paula Faris, who ironically had her latest child the exact same day that Diana had hers. |

Didn't Paula Faris leave for the exact same reason? I'll throw my vote in for Marci Gonzalez. |

Gambit wrote: Didn't Paula Faris leave for the exact same reason? I'll throw my vote in for Marci Gonzalez. You're right. I think she left World News Now to have a baby. And then she ended up doing stories for GMA. Only to have another baby. But she's still doing feature stories from time to time for ABC. I would love for ABC to call back either Yunji De Nies, or Peggy Bunker. Both filled in during Vinita's absence, but they have left the national news to go to Hawaii and Denver respectively. Tanya Rivero was also a favorite of mine who subbed numberous times, but I don't know if she'll want to go back to overnights. I do think the job is Marci's for the taking. But we'll see. |

yikes, didn't see this.... At her best, I rank Diana near the top of any "hot" list. But, on the critical side, she just got a haircut and has been dressing like she doesn't want to be "hot". If Marci Gonzalez gets the gig, I'm out... she does nothing for me. Yunji De Nies is happy in Hawaii I believe... The only 1 I can think of that would get my attention is Cecilia Vega, but I think she is kind of stuck being a floating "correspondent" |

My hottest WNN anchors and fill in anchors over the years would be.... 1. Yunji De Nies 2. Tanya Rivero 3. Diana Perez 4. Juju Chang 5. Peggy Bunker 6. Paula Faris 7. Vinita Nair 8. Diana Alvear 9. Andrea Canning 10. Marci Gonzalez I'm probably forgetting a ton of other fill ins, but this was what I could come up with off the top of my head. |

OMG Maestro! Yunji De Nies is absolutely stunning, I left Hawaii about 3 months ago never thought I'd see her name again and viola you did it. Thank you for having her 1st on your list - any idea where some of her pix are posted.

I couldn't believe who they have cohosting the show this morning! None other than Linzie Janis! Granted this will only be for a week. But it is something for ABC to put one of it's hottest reporters on the overnight shift. I would have thought that either Marci Gonzalez or Reena Ninan would have been cohosting, but this was quite a surprise. This will probably be another round of weeks and weeks of ladies rotating before they name another successor. |

tdubya68801 wrote: I swear that show has had more anchors in it's 21 year history than several news programs combined! News people just don't last on that graveyard shift. The show in itself is pretty repetitious, which probably makes the average news hungry reporter pretty bored. Only 2 alumni from the show have made it to the big time, Anderson Cooper and Juju Chang. All of the others who have hosted have gone back to doing local news. |

Wait a second. What about Ashleigh Banfield and Thalia Assuras? I loved those two. Also there was a cute blonde/light brunette with the name of Lisa. She was nice. Also Gigi Stone was on the show as well. So many attractive women. |

I think that's where most of her stories are from unless it's a big story. Anyway, it's a bad gig. Remember that Murphy Brown got "punished" and had to do a stint on the overnight. |

Well, John Muller's last day is officially tomorrow. It will be interesting on Monday who will be hosting the program. Will they bring back Reena Ninan for a second consecutive week? Who will be the male co-anchor? I'd say they bring back Gio Benitez. |

Looks like it's Reena Ninan, for now. Marci was there for John Muller's last day, standing between him and Reena. It's good that Reena gets a studio gig after dodging bullets in Israel for Fox. |
