I got very curious who this woman was all of a sudden appearing on HLN right when cuts were made. This woman came on HLN now to do headlines at first. Then she was coming on with Susan on the set in pants. She just wore pants everyday. Finally, right after Mike Brooks left HLN/CNN and she started to work on the hours following the end of MXP with either Christi Paul or with her hosting then she wore skirts and dresses. I have never seen her in my life till about September. Well I did some digging and here is what I found:
Yasmin started her career at E!: Entertainment Television as a production assistant. She then went on to produce for the Style Network. At that time, Yasmin obtained her first on-air job at the German-based internet TV station DTV. During her time at DTV, Yasmin covered events such at the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the New York City Mayoral Race. She also did red carpet interviews with such celebrities as Salma Hayek, Tom Cruise, Susan Sarandon, and Robin Williams. Yasmin then went on to be a correspondent for Current TV, an internet and broadcast network driven by viewer created content from around the world.
So at some point she was with Current before it failed and was sold of AJAM. But Wiki's blurb is very old and outdated as it does not mention her joining HLN. But it does say she is of French and Persian descent. It has no birth date or age either for her. I guess she joined HLN either in September or earlier over the summer.
P.S. I did find something about her on HLN's website from June 28 welcoming her.
