There are a few tribute videos on the ABC7 Chicago website from both the end of the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts on Wednesday.
In her words, she said it best:
"I will be joining all of you (viewers), watching the news from home."

Good luck to her in her retirement. Also it has to be noted that she was on reporter/anchor for over 35 years. That's has to be an oddity because either people moved on after 5-10 years because of family/having kids/or just tried of the grind.
