First off, my apologies if I am late to the party and posting old news.

Unlike other FNC female anchors who announced their departure (Kimberly Guilfoyle, Jenna Lee, Jackie Ibanez), Patti Anne Browne quietly snuck out FNC's back door sometime in February, according to her Twitter page:

"Thanks folks for the birthday wishes! Sorry I've been neglecting this page since I quit in Feb. I do plan to keep it active... Life is keeping me busy! All good. Be well!"

Not surprisingly especially after Elizabeth Prann exited and we didn't know about that until Prann left until we saw her on HLN. Guessing if you're not on regularly, people don't notice that much. Also from her site, PAB said she has retired. Can't blame her there especially she had a long career 21 years with the national news networks (she did three years in MSNBC) and nearly 30 years total. That's a career. You have a number of women who started in the news business but left because they have kids, husbands got new jobs, career change, or just left the biz in a fraction of the time. I had a high school classmate who was a reporter at Augusta but left the biz after a year to become a teacher and another one who was off camera lasted longer but decide to leave the biz as well.

Back in September she announced on her Twitter account that she quit Fox News back in February and just left the account unattended. But it was her birthday so she gave a shout out.

PAB was and is a class act. She walked away from FNC on her own terms, for her own reasons, something many of us don't ever get to do. I, for one, am glad to have been able to interact with her as a fan - she was very nice to hers and always tried to show her gratitude. Thanks for the updates, all.

I’ve taken a lot of naps after watching PAB.

I still remember first time I noticed her, was during the 2000 election coverage and her had a reall short skirt on. Was the beginning for many years of enjoyment.

Lets refresh the memory.

These were just two of many, many shots that I replied" "DAAAYYYUMMM!!!"...

In as much as she gave as good as she got, I never felt it was sleazy or over-the-top like some of the others that appeared on RE....

Of course, the shot seen around the world, which we all know which one, I think she was truly embarrassed by it, but being the trouper she is, rolled it with grace and class.

Also, I was always amazed at her ability to read some of the copy straight-faced while everyone else was dying with laughter, especially with the liberal use of the F-bomb on several occasions, that just didn't seem like that would be in her wheelhouse.

Been a nice trot down memory lane; thanks for the opportunity to do it! Viva La PAB!
