No, the headline will not showcase any of her vacations to some lush locations around the North American continent (she was just in Cannes, France) and will be attending the F1 Monaco Grand Prix race on Sunday. But just in case you missed the short promo at the end of Wednesday's show (the celebrity interview normally spills into the top of the next hour, but not on this day)--Dr. Jen will be talking many summer time topics in a recorded show fittingly enough that will air regular time at 1 p.m. Eastern/10 a.m Pacific this coming Monday--Memorial Day, May 29. From the GMA3 Instagram page, it mentions: "...the entire hour dedicated to Health, Wellness, Food and Nutrition! We even have Veterinary Medicine covered with summer health tips for your pets! Chef Jamika Passoa and I help kick off Summer ‘23 in GMA3 style!" Included is one subject bringing back a cultural fad from the late 2010's--sitting in a tub filled with ice cubes as a male celebrity named Sam will help assist. I am sure we will get a nice explanation on Monday. Set those DVR's if you are going to be doing cookouts or attending some gatherings in helping kick off summer. GMA3 will also air on YouTube weekdays at 4 and 6 p.m. Eastern at the ABC News Live page. |

Just in case if you missed the segment, I typed this shortly after it aired. First, to clear up any confusion--the Sam is ABC News correspondent Sam Champion (should have known ).The main takeaway, they went to a place called FloHo Holistics located in midtown Manhattan. The place looks like a back facility you would normally find inside an RV or very tiny doctor's office. After she got into scuba type gear (of which was seen in the promo), they both went in feet first They both held hands as Dr. Jen said, "This feels like child's play." In turns out that cold therapy goes back to 3,500 B.C. and is supposed to ease sore muscles, make you sleep better, help prevent inflammation, and give some inner peace of mind--so says the Cleveland Classic. After a few minutes, it was a Zen-like atmosphere. Take that last statement as you will The ice cube bag that was used is double the size that we would normally purchase by the checkout lines at many middle and large sized grocery stores. However, one should not try this method (even if you even have a remote thought resorting to cold baths and/or showers) for three reasons, this according to the American Heart Association: 1. It instantly would lead to hypothermia 2. Cardiovascular shock 3. And the biggest health factor of all--drowning Well, at least we know one more thing that Dr. Jen took one for the team, as the old sports adage says. At the start of the special episode, she had a spoonful of seaweed--albeit in a gel form. Most people when they think of seaweed it appears like cabbage. After trying a taste, she simply mentioned that "it felt like eating something from the bottom of the ocean." The show also had some major rules on how to handle pets in hot summer conditions, but we already know most of the general rules. |
