Today will 11 years since I joined this forum. I can't believe I've been here that long and I'm still posting content. I think I'm right in guessing that I'm among the younger-ish people on this forum. 2013 was the year I joined, but I was actually a lurker since 2009. I really liked this forum because it was so unique. It was a safe space where one could appreciate the female form - especially news anchors, reporters, TV presenters etc - with like minded people. It's the only place where you can find a big archive of women from across the world in one place.

I always wanted to start posting content on here though it took me until 2013 to develop the courage to actually undertake capping as a hobby. Although I have taken breaks from capping in between because of real life and other stuff, this longevity is valuable as a capper, since it does take a lot of time, work and bandwidth to post content on here consistently. There were cappers on here when I joined in 2013 who no longer cap now because of burn out. In fact, it really feels like there's less cappers on here now than before. But in any case I love being here and will continue to cap for as long as I still like doing it, which hopefully will be a long time. I just hope that my content adds something to this forum, and if the community likes it then that's all I need.

First off, congratulations on your special anniversary.

Second, I hear you about the periodic lurker in being here.

I was one of several hundred people that started here in 2005, but did not start capping until 2017 (but managed to backtrack with adding caps here and there as far back as 2015).

Third, you are right on the fact that outside of the weather meteorologists and many ladies overseas--there aren't as many ladies to cap. I recall HSF saying at one time when he did those hundreds of Robin Meade caps each week that someone at the old HLN actually lurked on this site. Plus, the days of the frequent sit-down interviews by and large have been decreasing it seems like every other year--places like Access (Hollywood), Cold Pizza, Liz Claman from Fox Business (since someone higher up who took over Fox news decided to only showing head to chest shots only), and with Al Rojo Vivo that Maria Celeste hosted on Telemundo, in addition to what Robin and Jennifer Westhoven did at the former Headline News.

Plus, you are right on the burnout part. It does take a lot of work to upload, let alone try to copy and paste to make sure it looks good. I used to cap a ton, but I started cutting back once the pandemic hit. As far as checking this out, I check out this site periodically and try to contribute when I can carve a bit of time. This complex game called life is requiring many of us to do more in less time, instead of what it used to be the opposite.

I echo the same thought that I hope this site will continue well into the future, so we can all appreciate everything that these hard working ladies do on a daily basis.

Again tommy7, huge congratulations on this major milestone :Kool

I joined in 2004 as a lurker, but didn't start posting until 2014 I think?

Congrats on your landmark tommy.

First off, congratulations on such a special anniversary. I have been on here for quite a while as well. I'm also a veteran of several other well known message boards like Superiorpics and ArmFan. And I understand about being a lurker. I've been a member of other sites where I actually ran afoul of the law because one news station got mad about me posting "copyrighted content". This was in the early 2000's, years before most anchors had a Facebook page and every image had a share button.

This site is closed in new visitors. Several years ago we got spammed like crazy by bots. So it was closed as far as I know. I thought the site was going anyways when it was out for 9 months one year but it came back. It's now over 20 years old.

I know we had some downtime at the end of June, but it returned on 7/1.

Even though this place has had issues with regards to downtime and bandwidth, somehow it keeps coming back!

I understand why sometimes this site gets infiltrated with bots and other pesky things that shouldn't be here in the first place.

That said, I have a handy tip which applies for desktops and laptops.

Whenever I see the Resource Limit is Reached page, I simply hit the <Ctrl> key and right click on my page.

From there, hit the first link of Click on new tab and it should work.

If it doesn't work on the first try, repeat until you don't see that screen. Seems to work for me pretty well.

I use Ctrl and F5 together.
