Great podcast by Peter Hamby and Jon Kelly from Puck News (an excellent online subscription site) where they discussed the exits of Hoda Kotb, and the soon-to-be-leaving Norah O'Donnell from
CBS Evening News in favor of a multi-reporter setup akin to CBC's
The National (of which you can see on YouTube weeknights at 10 p.m. Eastern.)
There was also a small discussion about the introduction of the paywall at CNN.com. Will anyone pony up some money just to read their content, figuring they have been losing money right and left for several years.
One thing is for sure, the days of the solo/two shot anchor setups are a thing of the past.
Even former longtime NBC News anchor Brian Williams (yes, that Brian Williams) is rumored to hosting his own election night special...on Amazon Prime.
