Meteorologist Juliana Mejia is leaving at the end of May. New station TBC. A shame as she filled a KC Sherman void.

Ex WINK meteorologist KC Sherman has left WFOR CBS Miami for KVUE, ABC Austin.

Taylor Wirtz is leaving on May 28, same day as Juliana Mejia.

Taylor is moving to Phoenix to join Fox 10 KSAZ.

Rachel Cox-Rosen will be the new morning traffic anchor on WXIA-TV 11Alive in Atlanta from Monday June 2nd. I was hoping for Atlanta News First so I could cap Rachel and Ella Dorsey together.

Juliana Mejia is moving to WFLA Tampa Bay. She was rumored to be replacing Amanda Pappas on WTSP 10 Tampa Bay mornings.

Pappas, another ex WINK meteorologist is believed to be moving to WPLG in Miami as it becomes an independent station as it lost their ABC affiliation.

Juliana Mejia has started on WFLA. She's doing weekend mornings with Melissa Marino and some weekday mornings assisting Amanda Holly.

Amanda Pappas has confirmed she's moving to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale market, but not which station which I still believe is the soon to be independent WPLG 10.

Facebook gave me a suggested post by Teri Hornstein and today is her last day at WFOR CBS Miami.

I wouldn't be surprised if she joins the new CBS station in Atlanta that takes over from Atlanta News First in August.

Lindsey Sablan is leaving WINK tomorrow. Taylor Petras moves up to the anchor desk on Monday.

Sad to see Lindsey go but great news for Taylor though.
Hope any of the WINK News ladies like Claire Galt, Emma Heaton, Amanda Hall, Liz Biro, Nikki Sheaks, and Jillian Haggerty don't leave anytime soon.
We would like to see Emma and Amanda do 3pm and 4pm newscasts together daily more often and Jillian Haggerty and Liz Biro as permanent weekend morning anchor team as well.

At a guess, I think Liz will move into Taylor's role on WINK Mornings. She's been covering quite a few of those shifts.

One good thing about WINK is when one reporter or meteorologist moves on, we usually get an equally hot replacement.

Juliana's replacement is Oceana Hayden.

I like that suggestion also.

Liz and Claire worked together in morning role before and that was last year.

I like to see that scenario. As far as weekend mornings goes, I think Jillian Haggerty should move to anchor spot on weekend mornings.

She's been very good since September.

Not WINK, but still Fort Myers, Alexia Tsiropoulos is leaving Gulf Coast News (WBBH/WZVN) on July 3 to move to WKRN News 2 in Nashville.

Jillian Haggerty becomes weekend evening anchor from July 14.

Oceana Hayden has replaced Annalise Iraola on morning traffic. Annalise is going back to reporting for WINK.

Former WINK Meteorologist Amanda Pappas has started at WPLG Miami.

Reporter Jolena Esperto is joining Amanda Pappas at WPLG.



And WINK changed their mind, she's staying as a reporter.

Actually, she's staying as a reporter daily, and becoming full-time weekend anchor soon.

That's a rather unusual move, with someone moving on and then management suddenly realizes "Oops, I think we may need you again."

I recall it happening to Taylor Petras, she left the station, then during Ian was reporting in Fort Myers for her new station, helped out WINK during the hurricane and then returned. Now the main morning anchor.

Changes to weekend newscasts.

Mornings are now anchored by Zach Oliveri and Annalise Iraola.

Evenings are now Jillian Haggerty and new anchor Gracie Fusco who joins from WBTW in Myrtle Beach.

Lindsay Sablan is moving to WESH in Orlando.

Meteorologist Nikki Sheaks is leaving on Jan 25, she's joining WPBF ABC 25 in West Palm Beach.

In other news, Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt was fired Thursday after taking longer lunch breaks to help his wife with their newborn child, Greg Rule replaces him.
