Eva replaces Deborah Norville after her 30 year stint as host.

My question now is, where does this leave GMA3? Will Rhiannon Ally become a permanent host? And will Alison Kosik or Andrea Fuji'i take the reigns at World News Now.

Here are a few more details on Eva's hiring:

In a related note, shortly after Eva's hiring saw her former partner DeMarco Morgan leave the network as the third hour of GMA is set to undergo another reboot:

Which begs the question, is it time for ABC to ditch the program instead of going through yet ANOTHER reboot? How many incarnations would this make? Three? Four? You first had Strahan, Sara and Kiki. Then GMA: What You Need To Know. Then GMA3. Why not just got the same route as CBS and create a new soap?

That's an interesting question.
Since Amy and T.J. were fired after their romantic fling, I have been wondering about that myself.
But who knows what really goes on in those corporate suites.

It’s usually pretty simple: when they can find something that does better for less money, they will replace it.

Creating a whole new soap opera is probably way more expensive than a daily talk show, especially if it’s hosted by no name people who can’t demand a huge salary (but those people also won’t draw any ratings).

It's ABC's news division that will take the hit if they just give up on something under their banner. So of course they're going to avoid the negative publicity of dropping one of their own programs. I was just thinking outside the box. If CBS can ditch The Talk for their new soap Beyond The Gates, so can ABC in bringing in another soap. Maybe they can dig up another celebrity to do another talk show. But that would be weird having 3 talk shows surrounding one soap in the afternoon.
