San Antonio upsets the defending champion and top seed in the West at Oklahoma City 111-103.

And just like in 1999, San Antonio has the home court advantage. But instead of Tim Duncan, Mario Elie, Andrew Gaze, former 3 time champs from the Chicago Bulls Steve Kerr and Will Perdue--we have Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle, and others to pick up the slack.

New York in 1999 did not have Patrick Ewing available in the Finals due to an injury. Instead, Jeff Van Gundy had to rely on Marcus Camby, Chris Dudley, Allan Houston, Larry Johnson, and 1993 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback turned point guard Charlie Ward.
The 2026 edition has Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Tyler Kolek off the bench.

This series should do great on ABC ratings wise. We have the nation's top media market against the league's next big star cut out of the mold stamped by Tim Duncan.
Prediction wise, it will be a repeat of 1999--both teams failing to score 100 points and the Knicks will win once in the Garden.

Spurs to win in five games.
