Patrick Mahomes vs DeShaun Watson. Beautiful QB matchup. I suggest Bears fans turn away from this game, after all, they chose Mitch Trubisky over BOTH of them. Anyway, the Houston Texans have the distinction of being the only home team to win on Wild Card Weekend. They and the Buffalo Bills kicked off the playoffs with an OT thriller, which saw the Texans win 22-19 behind a game winning FG--capping off a big comeback from a 16-0 deficit. Their opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs, are expected by many to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year. The Chiefs finished 12-4 and took the #2 seed over the Patriots via the H2H tiebreaker. Notes: The Texans have never advanced past the Divisional Playoff in their franchise history. However, in the last quarter century, the Chiefs are 1-7 at home in the playoffs. KC's one home win came last year against the Colts, but their latest home playoff loss was in the AFC Championship against the Patriots afterwards. The Pats are gone, as everyone figured, and this will be KC's best chance to take the conference. It starts with Houston, who the Chiefs will edge in a classic. Prediction: Chiefs by 3 #1 |
