Is the window closing on the Nashville Predators? It started to crack open a bit in 2016, but went wide open a year later when they went all the way to the Stanley Cup Final. However, they began to struggle right after that, and their problems centered around their star goalie, Pekka Rinne, who is getting older and is shown to be losing a few steps. They also dealt a number of players, including PK Subban, but the Preds have made it and will face the Arizona Coyotes. Zona won the Taylor Hall sweepstakes this season, and it has led to the Coyotes being in the thick of things in the Pacific Division, though they did fall out of the Top 3 shortly before the pause. The Coyotes did manage to barely reach the top 12, but I don't see them getting past Nashville. Prediction: Predators in 4 #1 |

Predators 4, Coyotes 2 A strong offensive performance + Juuse Saros' timely goaltending = Predators evening the series. |
