 Post subject: problem using print screen to cap

can someone please help me? i have a directv dvr and when i playback anything i recorded and use the print screen capture function the captured jpg only remains as long as my directv program is left on. once i close the directv program my jpg that i saved that image goes black. i have tried several different screen capture programs including Gadwin..but the same result happens...any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Two things why you may have trouble capping with DirecTV2PC

1. You upgraded your video drivers-I upgraded them but I had to roll back because I was getting black screens.
2. You have a newer version of DirecTV2PC-Newer versions discourage capping, that's why I've never upgraded from the original beta.

And how do you see the caps, do you minimize while DirecTV2PC is on? There are two workarounds, one is getting a video device like the Hauppauge HD-PVR (external)/Colossus (internal) or similar device. The other is taking pictures of the screen with a digital camera, which is very hard to do with any quality.
