Can I record straight from the TV signal (live recording) or does it have to be recorded and then moved to the PC through the card?
Is there an easier and quicker way to do it?

Colossus does not know if it's live or memorex
Just plug the HD Cable box to the Component inputs and press record on the software :Thumb

There seems to be a problem with the software.
How can I set it so that I can just move the files from the DVR to the "arcsoft showbiz" editing software?
I can record on the dvr but how can I move it to the computer? Sometimes I get a "device not available or being used by another application" message

I have an HDMI cable from the dvr box to the card so that should work but nothing happens for the channels and I can't get it to move the files either

The instructions say you have to connect the from DVR Component out to Colossus Component in red green blue :) you can't use hdmi for encrypted video from the DVR
and you can't move files like from pc to external hard drive
You have to record in real time :) just like your other pc tuner

Here's what I got. It doesn't seem as sharp as a true HD capture but it works
