Do we have to subscribe to Rapidshare? I"ve tried everything I know of and I can't get the file to download.

Would love to know the answer either way so I can stop wasting my time.

i think that the rapidshare is the best filesharing site. everybody can download everything as free user without limit.

No, you don't need to subscribe to download RS files. I just downloaded one without an account or subscription.... though I'm slightly surprised anyone was still using RS.

I still pay for RS service because it seems like it's still one of the few file sharing services that seem to be somewhat consistently used in the boards I go to. I have heard that the waits between free RS downloads have gotten really out of hand, so I can understand why free users are frustrated... of course, as a paid users I'm still frustrated when they ditched the points rewards. I hear speeds are still decent for free users, too. But whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I know there are still quite a few users of RS out there, but for me it goes back to their decision to discontinue points.... of course, now I'm waiting to see what Mega is doing with their point/reward "renovation". Most of the sites that I frequent have mostly switched over to Oron or DepositFiles and to a lesser extent, Hotfile. Oron & DF are slow.
