| Post subject: | Startup Programs |
I know it slows down your computer when too many programs are running in the background so I'd like to eliminate some. Exactly which programs positively need to be in my startup? I'm sure my anti-virus does but what else is a must? If I remove certain programs from my startup like Photoshop, google desktop, acrobat, or my software for my HP printer and Kodak for uploading digital cam pics to my computer is that okay? I don't know how to find my list of startup programs so below is a snapshot. Any help would be appreciated.

It's really a personal decision as to what you want to enable or disable. I google search the services and startup as well as checking task manager frequently to see what processes are running. There's lots of info available online to what apps the processes and services belong to. |

The start up list is just full of 3rd party software and apps and any "run" boot up commands (Reg keys etc) There is nothing in the list that is essential to Windows |
