Anyone out there a Money user? What are you going to do since MS pulled the plug?
Basically I just use it to balance the checkbook.

What little research I have done, some folks do not like Quicken. I am looking for a replacement since Money will not open your *.mny file if the version has not been updated. I totally see MS turning off the update service which will leave you SOL if you need to reload from the CD.

I am still using a 2002 MSMoney version and right, cant be updated but I have no problem opening any of my old files from the program or backup. Could you have a corrupt backup file?? I have heard there is a new version available. Cant verify it but research it.

I am running Money 2005 Standard. It will not open my files unless I update the program. Once that is done, I can use it just fine. What I am worried about is MS will turn off the update service (which is not Windows Update) and then users will not be able to use the program. I have searched, MS does not offer the updates in a patch available for d/l.
