 Post subject: You can record HD video from a cable STB on MAC

I did a test with OSX 10.5 just now and it works.
Heres the process, first you need to download the FireWire SDK 26 for Mac OS X.

After installing it connect your STB to your mac via the FireWire cable. The Cable Box Port will most likely be a 6pin (FW400) connection.
Connect the other end of the cable to your FireWire port on the mac.
Open the Developer folder then FireWireSDK26 and Applications. Click on AVCVideoCap.
Once it loads if the STB is listed you should be able to record by clicking Capture From Device.
