I have been a huge fan of this site for a few years now. I have never registered and posted on this site, until now. I am a huge fan of the many beautiful news anchor beauties that are on TV on a daily basis.

Some of my favorites include: Kimberly Guilfoyle, Liz Claman, Rebecca Gomez/Diamond, Tracy Byrnes, SE Cupp, Gretchen Carlson, Shannon Bream, Patti Anne Brown, and Alysin Camerota.

I have quite a few of these beauties on various TV programs saved on my HD DVR that I would like to cap and post on this site, but I don't know how. I would greatly appreciate it if any of you could point me in the right direction regarding what kind of hardware/software I need to purchase to get started. I have a Dish Network Cable Box that has a USB port. I also have a Mac Brook Pro computer that has the following specs:

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro3,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 4 MB
Memory: 2 GB
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP31.0070.B07
SMC Version (system): 1.16f11
Sudden Motion Sensor:
State: Enabled

Once again any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The username from the movie "Friday" ??? :Joker

Anyhow, the Aver HDTV card is supposedly compatible with mac. I don't have one so I can't give you a review. I think slashasterisk uses it, but I think he's PC. Maybe check some reviews and see if that will work for you.

You may want to check AVS forum about your Dish DVR to see if there's anything you can do with the USB port or others (firewire if there?).

Yeah, I'm PC (though, not in the political sense!)

I checked the box on my AverMedia card and it doesn't list Mac's at all. Might want to check the manufacturers website if you're thinking about going with a capture card.

I like the AverMedia capture card, it has its little bugs but it generally works very well. Although it has increased the time it takes me to cap since I have to either watch what I'm recording real-time or scrub thru a DVR recording while the card is capturing.... but it gives me the ability of posting HD clips. It can be set to schedule recordings, though. But it won't tune to any channel for you - its strictly a capture device.

kevin77.... donkeed.... I hope I never find a need to change up my username since I love the option to just go with nerdy software coding symbols when posting :Coyote
