Need some help guys.
Have a DVR thru Comcast for a cable service (HD of course) and am trying to figure out the easiest way record shows and somehow get them to the pc to be able to make captures?
There must be a few ways of going about this. Could you help me out with a few options?? :Thumb
Thanks!

For making caps the easiest way I have found is,To get a DVD Recorder and record a show onto DVD.
Then put the DVD in my PC and use either Windows Media Player Classic or VLC to make caps.

I have Comcast but instead of using their DVR I have a Tivo DVR and Comcast just gives you a cable card that goes into the slot of the Tivo unit. I just push a button and the files transfer from my DVR over my wireless internet network to my pc. Not sure how you go about transferring the files from the Comcast DVR on to your pc. Maybe they have some sort of ethernet cable you can use to connect it or something like that?
