Either my DVD player is getting old or these 8,5 GB 240 min DVD RDL discs absolutely f-ing SUCK. 2 out of 5 of them malfunctioned before I was able to finalize them meaning I lost at least 4 hrs of good material. Don't use them is the message

As far as I know, DVD recorders only can handle the 4.7 GB kind. Double check your manual on what disc it can use. :Kool

Good idea. Some DVD recorders need firmware updates. Search out the firmware update at your manufacturer's website and follow the instructions EXACTLY. :Kool
