I have noticed that when I access Megaupload without subscription, the fan of my pc turns a lot and when I close the Megaupload windows, it comes back to normal. I do not have the problem with other sites. Does someone know what is the reason for this?

It's likely due to the flash-based advertisements that the site uses, mainly the ones that creep up at the bottom of the screen. You can close them out by hitting the Close link in the lower right corner, though sometimes it's hard to see.

If you use Firefox, you can use the the "NoScript" and "Adblock Plus" add-ons. Just keep in mind with NoScript everything is disabled so you have to enable the necessary scripts so a website functions properly. Enable everything on this board of course because the google ads aren't too intrusive and they help us keep this place running.

Megaupload is a great site and I'd like to see more content on there. It's easy to use and seems to have no download limit.

The fan: I've not notice that, so it may be particular to your computer (brand). I think HSF is right, about the flash or maybe java-script.
