| Post subject: | IR Blaster update |
I now have some of a fix on the IR blaster and channel-changing problems I've been having, especially with HLN. This morning I got the IR Blaster not found error message and that is cleared by rebooting the HD-PVR. F&FF recording went through fine. Usually after the IR Blaster error message and reboot, I usually run BlastCfg. I use 204 (HLN's channel) to test the blaster since DirecTV channel 123 doesn't exist. I have had trouble changing the channel to 204 with the IR blaster lately. This morning I found out why. DirecTV set top boxes have a habit of changing channels slow. When I ran BlastCfg the first time it did not come up with 2-0-4 fast enough and it said Channel Not Available and that booping sound it makes. The second time the blaster changed it to 204. I do not have either STB on native, which does slow down the channel changing. My parents do that with one of their DirecTV boxes. |
