I am trying to return to capping and I can do it. But it's going to take a little bit of time because of the diffculty of pumping out screen captures quickly. I record videos and then have to capture them. I was mainly trying to use VLC to capture pictures, but OBS to record. They come from various sources ranging from online sites and applications to YouTube as needed. The issue is how much time and effort it takes. I found plenty of material, let's say enough to keep me busy, and at the same time that means too much. I pick and choose, but recording videos means later I have to capture them. At one point had pay software that I could reinstall. But no matter what I use it is time consuming. So I was attemping screen capture software to get phtotos on the fly. But that's no better. Because the two program I tested require editing the photos after capturing. You can't do it quickly and have it in HD. I will just say that using Greenshot takes time. ShareX can also record video but it was a steep learning curve for me and I wanted to test Greenshot. You can't have two programs at once as they need to same hot keys to work. I am back to recorsding videos with OBS. So I will return when I can. I figured out my Thumbnail question I asked months ago. I also fixed some settings in OBS. It just taking me time. And I am coontemplating also opening a website or blog to house my pictures as well. That is all. I should add that I also could do video clips and I have an editor for that too but it maybe too much. I don't know. I am just happy with 1080p HIgh resoultion image captures. But we shall see. |

I capture live video and then edit up to 8 hours of raw video a day M-F and maybe if I am lucky find 10 to 20 seconds of video I consider worth keeping. Saving and editing those "keepers" also takes time so yes it it very time consuming (at least a few hours a day) I caputer a lot of live stuff with an add on for chrome called "STREAM RECORDER" https://www.hlsloader.com/ It works pretty good for me on most sites (not youtub) Unfortunatly most editing programs cost money and I do not knwo of any good free ones Good luck to you on you journey Mr Superannuated "Loneranger" |
