Does anyone know how to copy a video from one of the show to be seen later on Windows media?

To answer your question....

You'll need a method for connecting your computer to the VCR/DVR or what ever instrument you use to record the program. I burn to a DVD using a DVD recorder and then use converting programs to make my clips and caps. Once you figure that out, you need an appropriate program to record/cap a clip from what you recorded.

I recommend going through the Tech Forum and I think you'll find much help. If you need more help, post your questions in the Tech Forum.

Some streaming media can be recorded with a FREE program called STP.

HSN is one of those that you can capture. Another way is to use a screen capture program (I use SCREEN CAM) for those streaming media ( real player) that require a different recorder which is NOT free.


You have to have a fairly new and fast computere otherwise your video may be jumpy and low quality . also broadband is generaly a good idea .

You can also buy a piece of Hardware (pc to tv) which will record the screen and sound of you pc to a dvd or vcr ( about $80 and up ) (make sure it records full screen 1024x768)
