I noticed they redid/designed the thing. I guess its supposed to be better now. I'm wondering why is this thing still 169.99? Is it selling so good that they can keep selling it at that inflated price. It still looks like really no games to play on it. Sony missed the boat on this one.

$170 isn't that bad of a price for it. Nintendo's handheld system, the DS Lite sells for $130 but you can't listen to music or watch movies like you can with the PSP. Sony's full concentration now is on the PS3 though, so there aren't that many great games coming out for the PSP.

My favorite handheld of all time has to be Sega Nomad. It supported the Genesis cart.Close second,NeoGeo pocket mainly for Metal Slug.Side scrollers/shooters died with the newer handheld so that's why i never were into PSP.Also never fit my budget, not even now.

Yeah, I have a DS and its a great system. Its only supposed to play games and it does that pretty well, especially the hand held on the go type. Seems like PSP never really got the point.

I think I'm one of the few people in the world who likes his PSP. I've always wanted a portable baseball sim and quality Madden on the go, and it gives me both. Throw in the arcade compilations (Namco, Capcom et al) and it's all I really need.

FYI, Metal Slug Anthology was released for the PSP early this year.

I'm with HSF. I LOVE MY PSP!! Got it the day it came out and it has been clutch. So many great features and they add new features to it with firmware updates. I can also use it to link up with my PS3 remotely. Its amazing.

Sure when it first came out, the game library was seriously struggling. There were more movies than games. But now thats not the case. HSF...what are you playing right now? I just got the new Silent Hill. WOW!!!! The graphics are AMAZING!! Its pretty creepy and the music is good. Still trying to get use to the controls though. Can't wait to play it more.

Yeah they redid it. Made it slimer. I wouldn't say its "better" though. Graphic output is the same...it just has more RAM to cache, so load times will be improved. Also it has ports to hook up to your TV. At 170 I personally think its a good price. For what you can do with it...you really can't beat it. There are tons of games to play on it. It all comes down to what types of games you want to play. If your not feeling the PSP library....get the DS. Nope...PSP still aint selling good. If you are comparing it to the DS and nintendo's portable systems. Not even close. Peace.

I haven't been playing it much lately, but I usually play MLB '07 and Madden. Still need to get my Madden franchise really rolling, and I'm doing a career mode in MLB... I'm a starting pitcher, requested and got a callup in the 2010 season, hopefully it won't be a cup of coffee this time around!
