I get the same poor PQ with Non-HD ABC. Regis and Kelly is terrible with my cable co. too. I think the problem is mostly ABC, using a very low bit rate. |

I get worse feedback on R&K than the View or other shows. The only thing is that it has gotten worse. I never thought about it being the channel or network feed. I'll tell you what happend two shows ago on Thursday. When Kelly came out at the start of the show they had the set too bright then halfway through the trivia they lowered it back to usual color. I still think that some of it might be on my end. I'll cap other channels to see how they come out. |

Sometimes the PQ does change. |

Are you using the RF input on your card? If yes, then you're going to have inconsistency. Signal amps only have an input and output. It's not that hard to hook up. |

In your last image, it looks like the interlacing fields may have been swapped. When I try to duplicate that look on a video I have here, it doesn't look quite the same, so I can't be sure. I once had a similar issue about a year and a half ago, except the distortions were running in the vertical. I noticed that recording video at 480x480 instead of 640x480 got rid of the problem (but that created an undesirable square picture). Never figured out what caused it as I did a system restore in Win XP and it went away. |
