With DIVX constantly changing to a new version, I am wondering if it is a good idea to keep upgrading or stay with one of the "old faithfull" like 6.4 to have some continuity to the video files. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated .

I usually update because they do improve it. One of the big improvements a while back was they added the 1080i profile. With that you could do up to 1920x1080. The same profile also allows 1280x720 at 60fps which is great for true 720p converts. I have 6.8.3 now.

Thank donkeed for you input. I left the 6.4 on one computer and put the 6.8.3 on the other to make HD ( kate snow clip) (3000)
