I wasn't quite sure if I was going to do anything extravagant for an odometer-changing post, but a while ago I was transferring old caps that I had archived on CD-R to an external hard drive, and I started looking through some of the old caps I did long ago, and it hit me... why not do a flashback of my early capping career!
When I first got my USB capping device, I actually didn't cap too much of anything at first. My first caps were actually that of Julie Newmar in an episode of The Monkees, and after that I'd randomly cap home shopping babes if they happened to be on. Then boredom set in... you see, I usually get off of work at midnight, and I'm so wired up I have tons of time to kill (I explain this in vaguely more detail in
my Morning Sunshine iReport that was eventually
broadcast on August 21, 2008, but I digress...) and I usually ended up keeping the television on ESPN watching the same SportsCenter rerun over and over. Watching the same sports highlights and anchor catchphrases eventually got to me, so I started going through the channels to see if there was anything else that was good on, and I end up on Headline News and there's this total hottie on my screen telling me about current events, and I was like... wow! She's a lot more fun to look at than Scott Van Pelt! As it is written, so shall it be, I am now a fan of Robin Meade. I didn't cap her every day at first, but when I realized that this woman wasn't regularly capped on this board, I knew my destiny. The journey began, and here I am.
Like I said earlier, I wanted to use this post to take a visual walk down memory lane. As for my first caps of Robin, I'm sure I took more at the time, but as it stands now, this shot taken on November 16, 2005 was my first cap ever uploaded of Robin...
...you can see how I got hooked!

Wow HSF! These old caps bring back a lot of memories of when I first started watching Robin.
Like you, it started when I was up late at night watching TV. In 2005, TNT used to air a 6-hour marathon of X-Files each night (usually between 12pm to 7am). At the time, I was bored out of my mind and had nothing to do so I would stay up late each night and watch each episode.
So during the commercials, I would flip through all the channels to see what was playing and one day, I think it was around October/November 2005, I came across a show called "Robin & Company". I remembered thinking how beautiful this woman Robin was. I was hooked! I've rarely ever missed a day of Robin ever since!
