Hoy on 4min delay?

I know I'm breaking the rules by making a discussion thread here but this is the best place to ask.

Is the Galavision show Hoy on a major delay incase they need to censor content? I noticed the clock says 10:11am when it's 11:16am now.

admin never needs to explain himself :mrgreen:

. I think the delay is because they tape it early from mexico, and of course they clean it up a bit for our Fcc.

i remember when i lived in el paso we got the feed on two different staions, on air. you watch ch 99 over the air? those weather girls on the 10pm news make me go :shock:

the little bit of clothes they wear... lol. I remember they also aired sex and the city unedited from mexico too, over the air. i kept a tv with just an antenna in my bedroom lol.

First off, "HOY" is not produced by the miami based Galavision USA, it originates live from the main studios of Televisa's XEW TV 2 in Mexico City,which is in the central time zone.

now on some occassions (like holidays) the show is taped.

HOWEVER..Galavision WILL air HOY at times either "Time Delayed" when a commerical from Televisa's XEW TV2 or a product sponsor which is not available in the USA is aired and they play "catch up" OR..Occassionally the show airs a segment that is deemed "Not acceptable by Univision Broadcast Standards" and is replaced by a musical special without notice.

But the show is live 10am - 1pm [et] / 9am-noon [ct]
