Question to the mods. Am I allowed to create and post pictures or art like this on here? I know fakes are not allowed but I could make and post these kinds of things all day.

I'm not a mod but he has been allowed to put his paintings on here for years. I think what they mean by "Fakes" are those pictures that are photoshopped like putting a woman's head on another woman's body.

I didn't intent for the paintings to become a point of friction for everyone here. . . if there is another place to post them, I will.
Just sharing the artwork of these lovely ladies.

I don't think a pin-up style 'artistic rendition' of a lady, similar to the Rita Hayworth or Betty Grable decorations seen on WWII bombers, is out of order here, although I'm pretty sure Tracy and Jeanine would have inspired those men, as well.

It's not as though anyone will confuse these illustrations with fake nude shots, which are out of line here. These lovely women are the muse and inspiration for all of us here; why not honor them with the occasional, tasteful drawing?

North, your work is good. I approve. :thankyou

Even though I wasn't a mod (let alone an admin) when the fakes rule was established, I'll see if I can interpret it as best as I personally understand it...

What north is doing is basically artwork. While most of them are inspired by the caps posted here and elsewhere, and although there are some "enhancements" added to the subjects, it still basically qualifies as an original piece. The illustrations have the subjects in tighter and more revealing attire, but nothing gratuitous or explicit. As tdubya alluded to, Photoshopping a newswoman's head onto a lingerie model or porn star would qualify as a fake. As also noted, north has been doing this for quite a while, so you could say that his work has been "grandfathered in" from before any rules about fakes were established.

Of course, this is just my general opinion, which could differ from the board founders.

In a nutshell, putting an enhanced Robin Meade in a outfit that doesn't cross boundaries via artwork of one's own creation (like north's avatar) would be acceptable.
'Shopping Robin's head on Eva Angelina's body is not acceptable.
(Well, it would be acceptable in my PM inbox... )

You guys are too much! I like the "grandfathered in" analysis. Just expressing these beautiful divas in another way. I'll try to do more given my crazy schedule. I truly appreciate the comments about my work. Please feel free to send me a PM if you have any other questions. Besides, discussion is what a forum like this is about . . .right?

Peace,
;) North

HSF summed it up good,
artistic renditions or caricatures of the women are ok.
I agree 100% Norths artwork does not fit into the fakes category.
