If you haven't been checking out their Saturday podcasts simply titled "Recovery Run", it is simply a virtual eye-opener.
We already know how they first met with their love of running. Amy has been a long distance runner for several years, having run in both the Chicago (even though she couldn't finish that race) and New York City marathons.
But the main point of this pod was while taking a rare vacation away from Manhattan to spend quality time with their families, they encountered many familiar setbacks and frustration with trying to deal with two rental car companies. Their stories, in particular in the way Amy explained why it all went wrong was like comparing to a certain episode of
Seinfeld. But all was well in the end, especially with going to a carnival.
It lasts double the time as their normal weekday "Morning Run" shows, nearly the same amount of time as a typical weekly podcast covering sports, business, politics, entertainment, or whatever subjects are hot in the news.
Enjoy this rare refresher away from talking all things newsworthy, and yes they still get up early just like they did when they did the news from Times Square.
So far, we haven't heard anything about the network's move to Hudson Square (the camera/drone shots show a block of medium size office buildings with a park across the street.) At least, the studio is large enough for Tory Johnson's "Steals and Deals" products segment and indoor musical concerts. At the same time, there are no more viewers invited to the studio or peering through the floor to ceiling glass windows.
