Unless something changes, I probably won't be posting many pics in the near future as it seems TWC is remodeling their main studio AGAIN (for the new weekday morning program) and all live programming has been moved to a smaller studio that has limited camera views. The new morning show is supposed to begin Monday, March 17. It is said to be a variety show of sorts with a "focus" on weather.

Maria Larosa said this on facebook on Friday:

It's our last "Morning Rush" together! Mike and I will next see you on TV for "AMHQ w/Sam Champion" starting March 17th!

She was asked:

What? What does that mean?

Her response:

Just taking some time so we can focus on developing the show. It's going to be a lot of fun, promise!

Yeah, what the heck DOES that mean? (she won't be on til then, or what?)

No. Jen Carfagno would do WCL on weekends and still be fill-ins whenever Mike, Maria, or Sam are off. Alex Wilson might go back to evening WCL with Chris Warren like before. Kyla Grogan could be promoted for WCL on evenings too. Kait Parker could be the main fill-in for WCL.

Jennifer will still be the fill-in for WCL on mornings and/or evenings whenever Chris Warren, Alex Wilson, Vivian Brown, or Nick Walker is off.

My only wish is I hope that they can get rid of that awful dark orange backdrop on the walls. At least, it appears to be a mix of gray and white as far as I could tell.

And no wonder why directv dumped them. Sure I'm still not happy about it. Last time I checked the Weather Channel had the name weather in it.

it all came down to price and also the fact they have other show on. they might want channel that does weather reports 24/7 and other show on.

I watch more of Weather Nation than I do TWC. It's better and I also get the forecast for my own region from my own weather girl. (A Bonus)
Who knows, maybe once they blow up like TWC they'll get commercialized too. Money,money,money,money........MONEY! People don't let money change you...all-mighty dollar!

For the record: Julie Martin will still be doing WCL on early mornings and early evenings as fill-in.

The fact she is still on TWC is amazing to me...a true testament to her professionalism, or faith, talent, whatever...but she certainly bucked the status quo for TWC. Matter of fact Kim Cunningham has too...they must have some awesome agents or lawyers in their corner.
