She has to sit out some time due to the non-compete clause that is standard in the contracts. Then she plans to see what is out there. Alisyn is not retiring and I doubt it will be long before she is back somewhere.

Who walks away from a job after 16 years if they ain't ready to retire, and can't go and test the market because of her current contract? Some of you all have learned nothing since what's her name...what's that child's name....oh, oh, Kiran ah...ah...it's been so long I can't remember her whole name.

I just think she left on her own because they wouldn't have moved her to a new show for only 6 or so months. Why couldn't they fire her before? It's not like the ratings are bad. ANHQ beats Cavuto, Happening Now, Shepherd Smith, and Gretchen.

Again then if it's age then why was Martha who is three years older than Alisyn resigned to a new multi-year deal? Why was Gretchen who is the same age as Alisyn given her own show and why has she not been fired? Megyn Kelly is only 4 years younger than Alisyn is she gonna be fired in four years?

Greta Van Susteren is 59 and has a show in primetime. Jamie Colby comes on every weekend and is in her 50's. Jeanine Pirro is in her 60's and has a primetime weekend show.

Sorry but there's just too many women over 40 working at Fox for me to buy into the age theory. I think Alisyn left on her own cause she was unhappy about being passed over for the F&F job. She's a team player so she gave the weekday gig a try but after six months she just wasn't feeling it so she quit. That's my theory.

If your theories make you happy then cling to them, but I am telling you what Alisyn told me. This was her choice because she wanted to see what else life holds. She does not have other plans right now but is not retiring.
And yes, I did say Alisyn told me. We spoke about this because we are friends.

If you're referring to me you don't need to put it that way cause I'm not clinging to anything. I was defending Alisyn from the claims that Fox fired her for her age. I used the word theory cause I have no way of knowing for sure.

But if you say you know her personally and what you say is correct then great fine with me I'm all for Alisyn doing what she wants with her life.

He was probably referring to me...and that is the great thing about America and that's I'm entitled to think as I so choose. Just as Alisyn is free to tell him whatever she wants to tell him. Why was she passed over for Fox and Friends? Why was Kiran passed over for that matter?
