I heard something about this...it's definitely a distressing story and I feel for Carmen and her family, and hope everything turns out OK, but at the same time, Carmen has always had a tendency to be a bit "over-dramatic" about things...when she left Univision a few years ago, I remember a lot of rumors about how she didn't get along with too many people behind the scenes, she had some personal issues she brought with her to work, and of course there was the whole "getting married to her weekend co-anchor Fernando del Rincon" thing that was a bad idea to start with, and ended in a horrible way.

I'm not willing to flat-out discredit the story, but as much as I love Carmen (she's on my personal "Mt. Rushmore of Univision/Telemundo Women"), she's always had a screw or two lose, so it's hard to know just how serious this situation really is for her.
