looks to me like he wasted Sandy's appearance today and she had on a nice white dress.

Some cameramen seem like they don't know how to be cameramen these days.

There are such things as intermediate shots...don't have to have it right next to her head or wayyyy

on the other side of the studio. You can do in between. Whomever was running it today gyped us out

of some good shots. Alas though it is as it has been for awhile now....the art of being a cameraman

is mostly a lost artform now. No pans, no zooms, no intermediate shots, fade ins or fade outs...Just

WAY too close or WAY too far away. BAH, humbug!! Ice has his thing concerning Fox about their

lighting....well I have my thing about some of their camerawork or lack thereof!!

Yeah if you go back and look my caps from the first week of the show they were using a more wideout zoom. This was from the first day of the show
http://wideworldofwomen.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=183886&hilit=Alisyn+Camerota

It lasted like a week then they started using nothing but that close up zoom. Now the only time you really see a zoom out is when they are in split screen. Though last time Sandra was on they used better zoom than they had since that first week of show
http://wideworldofwomen.net/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=194695
Last week they were also showing Sandra on the shows intro in full leg view of Sandra in the chair but then when Elizabeth went to host they went back to the standing intro.

I don't like the close up either but it wouldn't even be as bad if they would switch seats with Hemmer. Doesn't make any sense to have the lady where that big old Fox graphic is covering her up. It should be covering Hemmer since after all people aren't watching for him. All the other shows have the female host on that side of the screen but for some reason this show wants to be 'different'.

As much as the camera guys take a beating from us when great potential shots are missed,
you have to remember they're not the only element in what's on the screen.

If the director in the control room calls for a pan, a zoom, a wide angle, or whatever -- it's only then
that the camera crew responds with what he's calling for.
"Go wide on 4", "tighten up on 2", etc.

And even then, that can be overridden by
the show's technical director -- the person who's running all the switches in the control room.
Camera #3 may be in a perfect position, but if the Tech Director flips over to whatever #1's shooting,
that's what gets broadcast.

Any one of those people can be responsible for those "lost opportunities" we fuss about.

Just got done capping today's show and I can't believe today's show is what upset you. Today's show was a damn near legtravaganza compared to the shows they've done in recent weeks.

I need to go look at your caps then because I must've missed all those shots.

FNC had guests in the wrong chairs during Gretchen's show.

This show has already been better today and there's 16 minutes left.

Agreed, really nice legshow today. I'm off work so I was able to watch it live.

I swear they've showed more leg in the last 3 weeks than they did the whole time Alisyn was hosting. Kinda makes me wonder if they were trying to make her quit.

I wish Fox would have used my idea of having a Mclaughlin Group style setup when Gretchen is talking to multiple guests. So she can give her fans the classic view of her legs we've been missing so dearly.
