That would require Robin to relocate to NYC, though, which I thought she was opposed to.

If HLN is no longer an option, I'm not sure she has a choice
My question is they said she would be a co-host
Would she be able to work better with Cuomo than anyone else?
If it was me, I'd try a Robin and Aly combination

C'mon suits at CNN, re-vamp that entire show if necessary, but Cuomo must go!!
If it were up to me, the entire MXP line-up would move to CNN. If this is really going to
happen. Believe it when I see it and taking the story with a HUGE grain of salt!

What on earth is so wrong with the morning show being broadcast from Atlanta?

I guess if the show is going to require more in studio guests and interviews than Robin is used to, it should probably be in NY, but does New Day have a lot of in studio interviews? I don't watch it, so I don't know.

Since Zucker took over, NYC has overtaken Atlanta as the base of operations
Brooke Baldwin and Carol Costello also moved to NYC
CNN International still is based in Atlanta but that's about it

FNC might be a little worried. Robin gets pretty good ratings on HLN imagine if she moves to CNN. but who knows? she might do worse there.

the problem we will have is this. if glen beck groups buys that station they be more like fox news. and less news on both sides to story. he will ruin HLN way he almost got canned from fox news.

Co-host is the key word
On HLN, it has been Robin and her supporting cast
I don't know if a Robin-Cuomo pairing will work
I think CNN would have to repeat the HLN format and I don't know if Zucker is willing to do that
That why I think Aly can work
She can do the hard news stories and Robin the softer ones

She does have a choice but not nationally. She could stay in Atlanta do a local morning show. Nashville also can be a possibility, honestly I don't see her in the NYC though doesn't mean she won't do it. Also even Robin does, HLN can promote Lynn but I just don't see Lynn taking over for Robin.

in particular -- Nancy Grace.

…CNN guts the entire format of New Day and the talent that go with it…including Chris Cuomo…and put Meade on by herself with a rotating cast of supporting players. I just see no way CNN can get away with having an Alpha Male anchor in Cuomo and an Alpha Female anchor in Meade share the screen together without the show tearing itself apart in due course.

Then there’s the format. Morning Express is all happy happy joy joy, light on news, and feeds off Meade’s bubbly personality. CNN’s New Day is heavy on news, light on fluff, nobody stands out, and the show does not feed off anybody’s personality. So plugging Meade into that format would be the ultimate square peg/round hole experiment in cable news.

I’m not saying that all these reasons mean that Meade can’t come to CNN. What I am saying is if CNN does bring Meade over, something is going to have to change and change a lot in order for it to work.

I agree with his view. Essentially what I said--or at least tried to say--last time. I also highlighted in bold a concern I brought up before.

The fact that Robin can carry a show as the primary
"face" of a morning news (and entertainment) program has
been proven with MXP. Is it all hard news---no. Is it all fluff---no.
It seems that the basically hard news format in the morning sabotages
any good that the CNN show can bring to morning TV viewing.
I not only want to be informed with my AM news, I want some fun, too!!
MXP brings me both!!!
