They claim users no longer turn to television for weather info since they can access it from their phones and computers. They want people to use their weather widget. I'm guessing its a contract dispute. Either way, they replaced TWC with AccuWeather Network....

Yep turned on TWC and said WTF when it was showing AccuWeather.

People dont watch the weather channel for weather because when you tune in for weather you either get 2 WORTHLESS AHOLES IN THE WOODS!

this what i think will happen in few years. if weather channel does not go back to 24 hrs weather. they will be drop by more company's

Roger that. I'd watch AccuWeather over TWC now; hell, at least when you tune in, day or night, you get weather. I remember when I could do that with The so-called Weather Channel...

I did a google search like anyone else can ;) and found an article in the New York Times that said that a consortium of NBC, Bain Capital, and the Blackstone Group is believed to have paid $3.5 billion although the amount was not officially disclosed.
