The correspondent informed staffers that she plans to move to the East Coast this summer
Brooke Anderson is leaving “Entertainment Tonight,” multiple insiders told TheWrap.
Anderson, who serves as weekend anchor and correspondent for the syndicated entertainment newsmagazine, informed staffers in a memo Tuesday of her plans to exit the show.
Anderson first joined CBS syndicated sister show, “The Insider,” as host four years ago before moving over to “ET” as a correspondent.
“After four years I’m leaving ‘ET’ but not completely… More on that later,” Anderson said in a memo obtained by TheWrap. “My husband got a terrific job that will be great for entire family so I’ll be relocating over the summer.
From time to time when it’s right, Brad Bessey and I have discussed me doing intermittent work from the East Coast.”

A spokesperson for the show confirmed to TheWrap Tuesday evening that Anderson will remain part of the “ET” team. “She will continue working and reporting for ‘ET’ in a freelance capacity starting over the summer.”
Los Angeles-based Anderson was previously an entertainment anchor and producer for CNN and served as co-host for “Showbiz Tonight” on HLN.
Her announcement follows a series of changes at “ET.”

Most recently, popular soap opera veteran Cameron Mathison joined the program as a full-time correspondent and weekend co-anchor on earlier this month.
Last year fellow correspondent Rocsi Diaz and co-host Rob Marciano departed the series. Marciano, who joined ABC News, was replaced by “The Insider” vet Kevin Frazier in August.
Meanwhile, former CNN entrainment reporter Nischelle Turner joined “ET” as a correspondent in September, as TheWrap exclusively reported.
