more news and does not look good for both sides with arbitration. since could make someone look bad. not sure wise to go this route. since some will have to give to make other person look way so bad that be hard for them stay in business. one thing you do not want to do is this. shall out cash to keep this story quite. since you look bad.

money and vindication, plus she exposes (in her mind) a guy who preys on women.
since they'd already fired her, I doubt "burning the bridge" was much of a concern.

I'm not taking sides either. But vindication for her contract not being renewed amongst other things doesn't seem like it wasn't thought out in the long run. There's something we're not being told and we'll four soon enough. I also agree that she doesn't need the money. But will have a hard time gaining meaningful employment elsewhere from what I understand.

probably true, which is why so many people in that business are afraid to sue (and that's likely what bosses like Ailes are counting on)
I haven't seen a money amount attached to this suit, has she asked for damages?
if not, that will come up at some point in settlement talks, you would think.

Kind of have the feeling Gretchen is being used by her Attorney though willingly. If the story was true, she is a real progressive that never failed to hit FOX News. Part of the rejection for arbitration reads "Carlson's lawyers had "led a concerted smear campaign to prejudice the rights of Roger Ailes in this case." More "Gretchen Carlson Attorney Donates Big to Left Wing Democrats Who Aggressively Criticize Fox News -- An analysis of political donations that Nancy Erika Smith --" She's the lawyer for Gretchen "-- has made shows she is a hardcore progressive Democrat who has given thousands upon thousands of dollars to Democratic candidates for office. Many of those Democrats that Smith has supported have repeatedly, viciously and very publicly criticized the Fox News Channel for its coverage." This is already nasty so will see what comes next.

Its hard now to make comments that wont turn political and this has the ear marks of that. Rupert Murdock is Conservative as is Ailes but their big rub that includes the sons is they don't like Trump and Ailes has a stable of people who do and some who don't. Heard that it will be after the conventions before anything is announced and gives FOX a chance to change directions. Shame too, we have enough one sided coverage of things.

all i got to say in till we get whole story we should just site back and watch what comes out of this issue. since all we are getting what other people are saying by sticking up for one side other for other side. look at what we seen over years. we had family member come and said our kid so kind and gentle all time. but what they did not know what he was up to when not at home. since never saw other side of trouble kid since he hid it from family. when you do not see what people do when not around you. you say person kind and great person. so we do not have all fact to make true remark.

Yeah it's a shame that all the American media outlets are so one sided that none of them will call out Trump on the crazy stuff he says... or on his hair. :jetserl
